Não criei este cartão para um cliente. Criei para mim.
Talvez por isso eu tenha me permitido passar mais tempo observando do que procurando soluções. Sem briefing, sem prazo e sem expectativa. Apenas olhando para algo que eu achava que já conhecia completamente: meu próprio nome.
Foi justamente aí que encontrei uma ideia.
I didn’t create this card for a client. I created it for myself.
Maybe that’s why I allowed myself to spend more time observing than looking for solutions. No brief, no deadline, no expectations. Just looking at something I thought I already knew completely: my own name.
And that’s exactly where I found an idea.
Quando o nome virou estrutura
When the name became structure
Ao observar as letras de HEIDI, comecei a perceber uma simetria escondida entre elas. Poucos nomes facilitam esse tipo de construção, porque é raro que todas as letras criem relações simétricas dentro de um mesmo eixo visual.
No meu caso, a estrutura já estava ali.
As I observed the letters in HEIDI, I began to notice a hidden symmetry between them. Few names allow this kind of construction, because it’s rare for every letter to create symmetrical relationships within the same visual axis.
In my case, the structure was already there.
A dobra como interação
The fold as interaction
A dobra nasceu dessa descoberta. Ela transforma o cartão em uma pequena interação: a pessoa precisa olhar, tocar, abrir, fechar e perceber como o nome se revela aos poucos.
O cartão deixa de ser apenas um suporte com informações e passa a participar da leitura.
The fold was born from that discovery. It turns the card into a small interaction: the person needs to look, touch, open, close, and notice how the name slowly reveals itself.
The card stops being just a surface with information and starts taking part in the reading.
A simetria já estava lá. A relação entre as letras já existia. O cartão surgiu quando parei de tentar criar algo novo e comecei a prestar atenção no que já estava diante de mim.
The symmetry was already there. The relationship between the letters already existed. The card appeared when I stopped trying to create something new and started paying attention to what was already in front of me.
